Welcome to Mary Kay and the SPARK Unit!  You are about to start something beautiful and there is no one else more eager to see you succeed than me, your Sales Director.  You TOTALLY ROCK for joining our team, and my role is to be your business coach as you continue through this journey.

I have put together this section JUST FOR YOU!  I want to ensure that you are getting the best of the best and are off to a great start!

This section compliments the Start Something Beautiful magazine that comes in your starter kit.  I recommend that you read through the articles in the magazine, a few pages a day, so that you can fully absorb all the information provided.  THE MOST IMPORTANT THING to remember is you don't have to know everything before actually getting started.  This is a "Learn as you Go" process, and you will learn the most when you are booking appointments, holding skin care parties, and sharing the Mary Kay opportunity.

So let's get started!  You'll want to go through each part of this section, as it is designed to guide you through your beginning stages as a new consultant.  Please complete everything in the session before moving onto the other areas of the site.

12 most important things to get your business started right

Make sure to hold on to your Welcome Packet. Inside is everything you need for your first steps, including checklists and tracking sheets to help keep you on the right track.

Set up a date with Tia. Welcome to OUR beautiful Mary Kay Family! You just started something amazing! Yay! Congratulations on changing your future starting TODAY! If you haven't done this yet, set a coffe/phone date with Tia-she is your Mary Kay mentor and assigned to your success. This date usually lasts about an hour and is where you plan your business out. You want to try to get this done before your starter kit arrives (within first 3 days of signing your agreement).

Download Voxer. This is a free walkie talkie app. Once you've done this, send me a screenshot of your voxer ID.

Create your in touch password. Log into www.marykayintouch.com and use your consultant ID as your username, and create a password to have access. This is the site for you as a consultant.

Create your Mary Kay Wishlist. This is a list of all of your favorite Mary Kay skincare and cosmetic items you'd like to start/continue using. We can add these to your first order so you can start enjoying them.

Start making your contact list. This is every female you know that has skin! We want this list to be around 50-100 women. Think of it as a wedding list - everyone who would/did invite to your wedding goes on here. Go through your cell phone and put those names down. Then go through your Facebook (I know you have more then 100 friends) even if you do not have their number you have their Facebook! You will want to write these down on paper and send a photo to Tia to collect your prize.

Have your Power Hour with your Recruiter or TiaThis is where we will discuss your launch party date and start scheduling your pearls of sharing and first practice faces!

Make your inventory decision that works for youWatch the video about inventory. After meeting with Tia about your business goals, make a decision within the next couple days about having products on hand. Tia will work with you on placing your initial order within the first 15 days of starting your business to take advantage of all the first-time ordering bonuses.

Schedule your Pearls of SharingShare the MK opportunity with at least 15 women either in person or over the phone with Tia and earn your pearl jewelry. Use tracking sheet provided to log your shares.

Get your Business ReadySet up your Mary Kay customer website, propay (so you can accept credit cards), and order business cards.

Attend your first Mocha's & Makeovers(And bring 2-3 guests with you) to receive your new consultant pin.

Become a Party Girl. Watch 2 parties done by Tia or your Recruiter AND have a 10 min coaching call following the two parties. Once complete, earn your cosmetic display tray.

Book your Power StartThe best training in Mary Kay is “on the job” training. Complete your own booking blitz by your 15th day as a consultant to hold at least 5 classes by the end of your first 30 days. Be sure to use the tracking sheet for recognition and prizes. Tracking is a huge piece of the success of your business.

Become a Smart Business WomanSet up a separate bank account (doesn't have to be a specific business account). Write down the miles your odometer reads, and keep track of the miles driven for your MK business. Put together your WOW notebook. Watch the tax videos on what to do about taxes.

Get plugged into your Weekly Success MeetingEach week you have the opportunity to attend your Success Events which provide you with training and support as you build your business. Meetings are not mandatory, but consultants who show up - go up! Guests are encouraged!

Become a Master ConsultantComplete the MK University and Color Confident trainings on marykayintouch.com.
